What Richard - yet another account making a detailed defence of Unicaf in its only post on the forum - neglects is the entire point of bait and switch. Everyone comes to Unicaf because of USW but who know how many people get up with the other degrees.

I can't see any basis for saying that USW is a better MBA provider than UoP. Both meet the minimum criteria for national accreditation in their respective countries. UoP is, however, backed by NYU and the online MBA is its flagship.

In U.S national accreditation is the crap one. Regional accreditation is what people need

UoP is not regionally accredited, making it a very bad option in terms of accreditation
Universities that are not regionally accredited should not be considered

To give perspective: To apply for any masters in EU, your U.S. bachelor must be from regionally accredited university. National accreditation is not accepted. It is that bad.
A BSc from UoP would not be accepted at almost any EU university

For example in sweden: "For entry to a Master's programme, the minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university"

Now Duncan, I think this is the basis that you are looking for. I just thought that you are an expert in this field but endorsing a university which is a crap over the other puts your integrity in question.

Anyway, I just don't know why and what are you up against to with the partnership of UNICAF and USW? I just posted something to share my experience to be of help for those who seeks information and there you go, responding in a very unprofessional way. I even admitted this in the first place that I registered to share in this thread. Are you a marketer of other programs and you are threatened with the affordability of this partnership. Then don't be. The program is only for people meeting the eligibility requirements set by the respective partner university and should be earning less than $20,000 yearly and obviously cannot afford the programs you're endorsing. Had I did not qualify for the USW MBA, candidly, I will not go for the other universities partnering with UNICAF. At first, I really thaught this is a scam but I was able to confirm the legitimacy directly from USW.

Lastly, if you would like to give advise, help or feedback , then please be repectful. Can you disclose where did you study so that readers can avoid them because you are a reflection of a graduate who is possibly intelligent, but wasn't taught with the right attitude towards others.

Hi George, I do understand. I got no intention of any misrepresentation but my apologies if seems to be. I quoted your post as your discussion of national vs regional accreditation is absolutely right. And like what I've said before, I'm just stating my experience and not defending UNICAF. I just can't resist responding as there is one individual attacking something without first hand knowledge. I'm not from UNICAF team. I'm just a student so there is no point defending them. Anyway I already have my scholarship. But I have the responsibility to act against irresponsible statements.

If you can identify any irresponsible statements, then let me know.

George: indeed, there are [at least] two level of accreditation: the minimum and a higher one. Both UoP and USW have minimal, national accreditation. For the MBA, even in the USA the higher accreditation that matters is not regional accreditation but programmatic accreditation from AACSB (or EQUIS or AMBA).

Richard, I'm not keeping my work or educational background a secret. You can read my profile at https://find-mba.com/about/Duncan and see that I am a London Business School MBA who consults to business school applicants only on school selection. I am not involved in marketing schools, as you can see from my ten thousand posts on this website, and I think I am pretty nuanced when discussing schools I have personally studied at. For example, I am a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh business school but often recommend other schools.

On UoP, I don't see any basis for saying is its online MBA is worse than USW's. If you have suggestions, then let me know. I don't think that national accreditation in the USA is worse than national accreditation in the UK. I must admit, I am aware of US schools losing national accreditation but I cannot think of a UK school that lost national accreditation, since that comes from royal charters which can be centuries old.

However, that is not my main point about Unicaf: my point is that many applicants are drawn towards Unicaf because of its arrangement with USW however many of its degrees do not lead to USW degrees. Indeed, as I give an example of above, its standard degree information pages do not make it clear which university issues which degree.

I think that Duncan's expertise and wide knowledge of this field does give him the right to make these kind of subjective comparisons. I think his comments are justified, based on his insight.

PS Richard, I don't think you can blame the schools I attended for our disagreement. Joseph Stiglitz, the Nobel prize winner who supervised my MBA project, is a great guy. It is my fault and not that of UCLA, Dartmouth, Edinburgh or the other places I studied. We can not all we as lucky as you and study with Unicaf.
