Hi guys,

I have been researching and looking to enroll in an MBA program - I have a bachelors degree in Computer science from Pakistan and have 10+ years of experience, I am now looking to enroll for an MBA to educate myself on the business side - I have been applied to a few like Cal state, however, since I do not have a high enough GPA, they recommended I do a GRE or GMAT, on the other hand universities like Capella and Phoenix are too expensive and from what I see online, they do not have very good reviews.. I would really appreciate if someone could give me a few tips

Well, so far it sounds like you have been given good advice and have a good understanding of the choices. You should try to get into the best programme you can, since the return on investment increases much more quickly than the fees or the effort needed to get in.

If you can, I suggest you attend a 'bricks and mortar' university close to you, or move somewhere to take a better course.

Are you looking specifically in the US? What's your budget?

Your best course of action would be to take some time to prepare for and take the GMAT. If you can get a relatively high score, your chances of getting into a better school will improve (as will your scholarship options, if you outscore the averages.)

The sweet spot for international students on a budget tends to be the second-tier MBA programs: Texas A&M - Mays, Michigan State - Broad, Penn State - Smeal, etc.)

These kinds of MBA programs tend to take students who have about 650 on their GMAT, so that or above is what you should aim for.
