Hey there! I have a few questions and I'm searching for the answers. I hope y'all can answer my questions :)

1) I'm currently doing bachelor's in Accounting & Finance in Pakistan. Once I'm done with it, I'll go back to Canada. I wonder if I can get a job as an accountant or something with my Pakistani degree or do I have to pursue a Canadian degree first then I'd be allowed to get a job in Canada? Also, how much will be my salary if I only have a Pakistani degree in accounting then? Note: I was born in Canada so I have the nationalities of both countries (Pakistan & Canada)

2) If I wanna do a masters in accounting later or switch my career from accounting to an MBA (in accounting), how much will I earn after doing an MS in accounting or MBA in accounting from a Canadian University?

You can get a job with or without a degree. Average salary data is available. Accounting rules vary between countries so a Canadian degree will help. There are one year Canadian accounting programmes aimed at people like you, like http://continue.yorku.ca/certificates/

Average MBA salaries will vary by university because the quality of programs varies greatly. Again, salary data are a Google search away.

To elaborate, most jobs in Canada will require some kind of degree (probably a bachelor's and in some cases a master's will be preferred) but will rarely specify a specific degree.

What really matters is network. You can apply for a job out of the blue and maybe land an interview - which does happen sometimes - but with a network that can put you in touch with the right people you have more of a chance of getting your foot in the door. Maybe the alumni network through your school will have some leads in Canada, maybe not.

If not, you might want to think about ways of building up your network in the city where you'll be looking for a job - this might mean doing a certificate program, as Duncan suggested, or attending networking events, or even doing a pre-experience master's degree at a good school. I suggest taking a look at the kinds of jobs you will be looking for, and coming up with strategies to get your foot in the door.
