Why not Dubai University or SP Jain? Why not study outside Dubai?

Mr Duncan has given you a perfect advise. For your budget S P Jain is a perfect school unless you are from China or Pakistan, because if you are from these countries people there will ridicule if you get MBA from Indian origin business school.

Thank U Mr. Dunkan and Mr. David.degree from Dubai university is recognized/considered well in India and is globally accepted or its for gulf countries only?Hult is out of my budget still i considered it as there are too less options there...SP Jain no doubt is a reputed B school with affordable tuition fee.

Dubai University has the most prestigious US accreditation, from the AACSB (See http://www.find-mba.com/accreditations). Since Hult does not have that (or EQUIS, the European standard) I think the university is an option worth considering seriously.

PS MBA program fees are AED 7,500 per course, works out to AED 97,500 for 8 core courses and 5 specialist courses.

I hesitate to make decision between SP Jain and HULT in Dubai.
My detail file as following: http://www.find-mba.com/board/33281/last/#post-33286
Once comparing the above University in Dubai, I forget the issue of fees, the ranking in FT and even the invalid degree certificate in China.

I heard from my college that the course from HULT is much more intensive than SP Jain. My major concern is that whether I can manage very well the time among work, study and family life.
Can anybody (current student in HULT) tell me how about the course?s intense? How many hours are required to spend on study off-campus every day?

One of Chinese current student in HULT inform me that the rate of time spent in course to time spend off campus should be 1:5 (time spent off campus is 5 time?s than that spent in course) in HULT every day.
And professor in SP Jain tell me that it should be 1:1(time spend in course to time of self study off campus) in SP Jain.

Who can tell me the rally fact regarding above rate of time issue.
This is very important for me to make decision.
Please give more detail regarding time arrangement between above two Universities.
I do not consider other university.

i full agree with you. and mean time ,i face the same issue to make decison beteen HULT and SPJ.

Chinese, project manager in construction,10 yrs experience,
I would like to Improve knowledge, expand the visual field and enhence decision make ability.

As I know, the course in HULT is very intensive, and my college told me that he should spend 15 hours to do the Group work and individual assignment off-campus every two days when he spend 3 hours on course in campus.
The courses are delivered three times in the evening every week for Part time EMBA.

Please give me more information regarding above time required off-campus every day.

Hi Ice City,

SP Jain no doubt is one of the best B schools, but needs a very gud GMAT Score. I have considered hult and middlesex as these are the only b schools in dubai which give one year full time course and that is my requirement to complete my MBA in 1 year. Further, middlesex is not accredited to any of the 3 bodies so only school which is left is hult...also i couldn't find any reviews regarding middlesex,if u have any pls let me know.

Drawback of hult is that its Fees is too high...and i have read many posts/feedback's for hult and to be true the number of negative feedback's over weigh's the positive one's.

So, its really difficult to choose one...Incase you get a correct feedback from some of the alumini pls do let me know.One of the alumini from hult london campus is in touch with me and told that the course is very good and one can go for it without even giving it a second thought.

Mr Dunkan has helped a lot regarding this topic and also has suggested dubai univertsity which is accredited and also has a low fee.

The comments for hult are almost given by outsiders, most of the alumni have given positive comments, i have also checked the feedback on relevant sites like linked in and all are positive..still the high fees of hult and few of the negative remarks are making everyone to think twice before joining hult.

People consider a location depending on the schools, few have frnds and relatives at the place and there are many other reasons one can have in order to consider a location, that is why i was keen to know about colleges at this place and left with two choices..lets see most of the hult alumni have given positive feedback's...I wud appreciate if you can help us in getting a feedback for middlesex, however it is not accredited but worth considering I suppose, you have a very gud knowledge of b-schools and it wud be a great help.Thank you for the help and support.

Naina, Dubai isn't a great place to take a full-time MBA. There's only one with the most respected accreditation, the university has the AACSB accreditation, and then SP Jain and Hult have AMBA accreditation (which is not so good since it focusses mainly on the MBA curriculum and not on the learning environment of the school as a whole). I think that if you have more than three years' work experience, the SP Jain school is the better option for most students. If a candidate has less than three years' experience, then the longer, 15-month format at the university is a great choice.

I think the Hult experience might be different in London or Boston. There they have large campuses which have been there for a few decades. The schools was founded in Boston in the 1960s, as AD Little. The London campus was founded in the 1980s, as Huron.

PS In the UAE, Hult has only one professor, and he spends much of his time flying to other countries: more than a dozen different countries last year! https://www.facebook.com/merwyn.strate
