HKUST's professors are very knowledgable and have experience taught in higly-reputated US Business schools, like MIT, Yale, Harvard, etc. In the 2007 class, students are from more than 15 coutries, and the average number of work experience is 3-4 years. If you like to work in Asia and focus on Finace, HKUST is one you should consider.

Let me ask a basic question: What is the value of a M.S., or Msc?
Reading the above posts one gets the feeling that MBA and Msc can be seen as more or less equivalent in terms of reputation and significance for the career, that Msc would be a good alternative to the MBA.
It might be just ignorance - but for me an MBA is not at all comparable to any other master degree, but a special postgraduate diploma targetting young professionals who already have some years of experience; and for its high costs of some 40t to 60t USD, an MBA makes sense only for people getting something important out of it (mgmt position, important increase of salary etc).
Is this the kind of outcome I could expect from doing a Msc???
If not, why consider doing an Msc? what's the advantage?

No, this program is held in English, Chinese is not required (but a TOEFL).

Save your money. This program is just about so so. I am currently a student under this program. You pretty much can't learn a lot from it as it is just an alliance between hkust and nyu. Program is pretty sparse and cracked into 4 days seminar of a month.
I would really try something else rather than this joke. Regret my money and time...

I think MBA surely gives you a different level in your career path. No one will doubt its value actually. The only problem is that it cost you more than normal MSc. If you can find asponsor, that is much better. In terms of business schools in Asia, I would suggest Nanyang Business School, which is ranked 27th in the world by the FT.
