I just posted a similar question about this yesterday. I have also discounted LBS, and other EMBA programs, as my employer probably wouldn't help with costs.

I am working in a Bank as Systems architect right now and have done BSC (hons) in computer sciences. I have an experience of almost 4 years.
I have got an admission for MBA in Australia, but because of the high costs, i have been delaying my MBA. One of my friends told me about the MBA programs in Dubai. Currently, he is doing MBA from wollongong uni - Dubai. He said that it is a nice program and very flexible as well, that is one can work and study. But i am just confused whether doing MBA from dubai is a better option and that too from wollongong which doesn't have any ranking.
So can any one pls help me in this matter ? I want to know whether wollongong MBA is a reputable in the market in UAE? Thanks

I too like yourself have been delaying my MBA but have decided to finally take the leap of faith and go for it!

Wollongong is a decent university and is very well reputed in the market as they have been here the longest and have a very large number of graduates, so alumni-wise, they are one of the biggest and well-connected.

I wouldn't worry too much about the rankings - Unless you're not considering the top 10 (ivy league), you're better off with a locally-reputed institution. Most of the rankings anywas consider the parent campus so it's pretty much usless for us folks here.

The key things to think about especially when pursuing MBA here are:
1. Quality - even if not in any rankings, they should have met certain local and international standards. If they're accredited by MOHE, that's even better and you are assured of the quality of the campus here.
2. How long have they been established for (You don't want your degree from an international university only to find out they packed up and left off in a couple of years)
3. Alumni-reach

If you're considering European MBA programmes and looking at blended-style of learning, then why not consider a couple of more good and reasonably-priced ones:

- University of Bradford: Strong reputation especially the MBA programme, blended style (DL + workshops) and very well-priced

Strathclyde University - triple-accredited (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB) plus they're accredited by the MOHE. Blended-style of learning once again.

If you're willing to travel to UK every 6 months or so for a week (2 years degree) then consider the following as well:

Henley Business School
Durham Business School
Warwick Business School

Based on your options, if those are the only ones you would consider, then I'd say go for Manchester as they have a good number of students enrolling every year and they're very flexible and allow campus rotation which is a good way to meet students from other countries and network.

Hi,
I have decided to go for 18 months weekend progrmamme conducted by IIM- Indore. This is the first time they have started outside India. The cost is reasonable @ approx. $20K - which could be paid in 1-4 installments.
The institute is one of the most reputed in India. IIM-Ahmedabad is ranked 11th by FT. However, this programme is mainly suited for Indians only as the the degree offered is Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and not a regular MBA.
