Hi Everyone!
I've been through most of the posts on here so I'm fairly certain that this isn't being repeated.
I'm a final year student in India at Delhi University. My major is Mathematics. I've done averagely through the course of the program (WES says my 4-point GPA is 3.3 though I'm running an average of 65%) but I have extremely strong extra curriculars and I'm confident of getting a good set of recommendations.
I hope to enroll in an MBA Program in Canada or the US once I'm done with my undergraduate studies. I took the GMAT once and scored a 680 though I did not prepare as well as I would have liked as my father fell ill and that was a major distraction. I do plan to take it again and I'm targeting a score of 720+
What I wanted guidance on was what work experience I should look to gather that would make my application stronger when I apply. I do not want a Banking or Finance related profession in the future and I think I'd be better suited for a Marketing or Strategy related specialization.
I understand that my undergraduate scores are relatively low, but from what I've gathered, a strong job experience component can compensate for it on an application.
Thank you in advance!
