Hi Duncan,
I am considering doing an MBA in Germany. I have 7 experience as Design Engineer in Industrial & Automotive sector and have about 2 years experience as SAP MM consultant. And have been applying to several schools and admitted to some already. I took some time reviewing the posts here. Now I have admission from:
1. HS Pforzheim
2. HS Esslingen
Kindly advise me which school should I choose if I want to continue as an SAP MM consultant or similar jobs in German Job market after my studies. which one has a better placement?
Kindly advice on these two schools which can help me make my decision?
In addition to the experts here, I would be so interested in hearing form current students or prospective students who are considering one of these two options.
Looking forward for your suggestions mates!
If you have to decide between those two universities, I suggest you to go for Hochschule Pforzheim.
Reasons:
* HS Pforzheim is AACSB-accredited; HS Esslingen is not.
* From what I know, HS Pforzheim gets you closer to companies (Company visits, projects with companies, companies in classroom, job fairs, etc...)
* HS Pforzheim program is more focused on business, than on engineering (This is the case for HS Esslingen).
* HS Pforzheim has even a small specialization in both International Management and Sustainability.
I would say that, obviously it depends on what you want and what you want to do after your MBA studies. If you want to stick to engineering, then probably it would make sense to go for HS Esslingen, but if you want to switch your career then HS Pforzheim would make more sense. Just my two cents.
All the best!
