I am interested to apply for the MBA full time 2009 at Cass and LBS in London. I went to meet a admission consultant in London for 30mins and they provide me some useful tips on how to apply and what school is best for myself. They offer me their service which help me to fine-tune my CV, esseys, application and reference. Basically they advice on how to put the admission application together as an attractive package. They charge GBP1000 for 10hrs and they said this should be just enough for the application for both schools.

Anyone uses admission consultant before? any recommendation? or pitfall i should watch out?

Hi,

I had and interview at Cass for the full time MBA on Monday 21 July and still have not heard back from them. Does this mean I have not been accepted?

From what I know, people hear back within a couple of days of the interview and maximum 1 week.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hi,

I dont think its been long enough yet to assume that you've not been accepted. Why dont you simply contact their admissions office and ask them when you should be expecting to hear back.

r.e. the admissions consultant. I think its a complete waste of money - and a great deal of money! If you are a good candidate, with the right amount of experience and qualifications you should be capable of putting together a successful application. If you need to pay someone else to do this for you arguably you're not ready to do a demanding mba! Think about it seriously. You just need to stand out, to look original, engaged, and prepared. You need to be able to state why you have chosen the particular programme youre applying for, what skills you bring to it (specific skills with specific examples), what your strengths are, and your future career plans, and how doing the course will help to realise them.
