@gboy: Maybe I can shed some light on the issues raised by you. Learning German within 15 month is easy, but not while doing an MBA at the same time!
Regarding the two different tracks, I think it would be better for you to go with the 21-month track because it gives you the possibility to do an internship (which you will definitely need, should youi plan to work in Germany afterwards) and you'll be able to learn German for another 6 months.
Finally, let me lose some words concerning the racism issue. Since my arrival in Leipzig 6 months ago, I have never experienced racism nor have I heard of anyone from HHL who has experienced something like this. Furthermore, I would also challenge Duncan's view of Leipzig (or East germany in general) being different than West Germany. I myself come from (South-)West Germany and I cannot see any major differences anymore, at least not if talking about the major cities (Leipzig, Dresden....).
