This is an interesting point of view, and it's important to note the difference between the MBA programmes at these schools and the MSc programmes (for which Germany is better prepared). However, anyone can see from LinkedIn and Xing that Reutlingen is not a target for MBB in the way that the ranked business schools are and, in particular, they recruit MBAs from schools abroad. Similarly, one can see that it is not the case that they only re-hire MBB alumni at these schools.

Nor can one take seriously the idea that it's a weakness that WHU and HHL keep their MBAs small. The MBA at WHU is very new, but even so it is obviously the case that employers' demand in Germany for English-speaking post-experience management degrees is limited. But the outcomes for those students are very strong, if they speak German.

Any stats about how is the school in placing students? Average salaries, number of students recieving jobs by graduation? School site doesnt mention it.

I don't think there are any public statistics about that. I think outcomes will be broadly comparable to MSc programmes in management.

Right. I am in a bit of dilemma here. I secured admit at HHL but no scholarship and because of the financial constraints I am almost unable to join it. I was thinking about Reutlingen. I know its not AACSB but 1 year course(which means get in early in the market or invest sometime on language) , some good reviews and less cost inclined me towards it. I plan to work in Germany after MBA. Will Reutlingen serve the purpose?

Assuming you speak German fluently it may work. But salaries.are much higher after HHL. HHL is the better investment.

I am A2 in German. I wish to work in management domain of IT. I read some interesting facts on IBC Offenburgs site, regarding salary and employment. Students getting internships at SAP etc. Not sure how true are they.

You don't need an MBA to be an intern.

Yeah Duncan, I am aware of that. But there is a better chance to land a permanent job with the internship.

although rumor has it that most hochschule mba programmes have really good placement stats because of relatively lower salaries, stats from hochschule offenburg seem bogus and too good to be true(just my opinion,no offense meant)

The stats don't seem unreasonable to be once we see that they are average salaries for alumni who responded to a school survey, rather than a survey only of recent graduates or of a random sample of recent graduates. These data will include salaries of people who graduates ay the start of the Programme. I think it would be more interesting to know the average salary of international students that have recently graduates.

Nor should anyone be surprised that Fachhochschulen have good placement rates, but the interesting data would be the placement of international students who don't speak German.
