The Frankfurt MBA has not enrolled its first class yet. It's uncertain. I'm not sure what sort of finance you're looking at, but using my approach (How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571
) EBS, Mannheim, WHU and Insead, alongside the the part-time Master in Finance at the Goethe Business School, are the schools to focus on.

Frankfurt is Germany's financial capital, so I would focus on programs in that city. Duncan's right though, Frankfurt School's MBA is unproven now, but I think it's the only real option for full-time MBA programs in the city.

Ok, I see. Insead is an intriguing option - in that it has good placements in Germany even even though it's in France.

The new Frankfurt program seems a bit risky, even so I may apply for it since I am really looking at full-time MBA programs, and Frankfurt is a good place to be for finance.

I personally liked ESMT as I had the interview with them. They are focused on where their students would end up post program.

They were more concerned how will I do in placements and guided how to contact recruiters, alumni responses were detailed. And then allowed me to decide if I would like to take my application ahead or would like to defer.

I was quite impressed with transparency.

Frankfurt School of finance and management again too good experience, they even transferred my admission from MS to MBA. But I could take any for my own reasons.

Duncan, If I am not wrong ESMT MBA would only be second to Mannheim, right?

If you think can get your GMAT score higher you most definitely should try. The average GMAT score for students at ESMT is currently 640; at Mannheim it's 670.

But you should also pay attention to work experience: even though you're not far from the average GMAT score at ESMT, the cohort average work experience there is currently over six year, so you'll have to do something to otherwise increase your chances. A higher than average GMAT score would help, as would higher-quality work experience or something else unique about your profile.

As has been said previously the Frankfurt program is brand new so we don't know yet what kind of class profile the MBA will have. I'm guessing it will be in the ESMT/Mannheim range though.

Same situation here! I think I'm going to give the Frankfurt MBA a shot, even though it's new. Their master of finance is ranked the best in Germany but since I don't want to just be a numbers person, the MBA seems like hte better fit. Plus I really want to move to Germany to work in Frankfurt or Munich, and they seem to have tons of connections to companies and the university seems to be really well regarded within Germany. (I just saw someone else post about FS being high up in a ranking by HR managers). Anyway, that's my two cents!

I am sort of leaning that way as well, since it seems like a strong business school with reasonable equity. In any case, good luck to you!

Because this is a site for applicants, you'll need to contact students and alumni through other means. Obviously there are no MBA alumni from the Frankfurt school yet.
