Hi There :) I'm also hoping to apply for the September 2016 intake but I still need to take my GMAT which is scheduled for February 2016. I took french at school for a year but will need to sign up for a refresher course in the new year.
Any tips or suggestions on the application process, essays etc would be great!
Some info about me...I am 35 and currently live and work in South Africa. Due to exchange rates - particularly given the recent nosedive the Rand took against most other currencies - I never thought I would be able to do my MBA overseas as its extremely costly but am hoping to get a loan to cover any shortfall. The ROI on the top MBA programs is excellent so I am hoping the risk will pay off (and I won't be left sleeping on my parents' couch post graduation) ;)
I am an attorney as well as a qualified company (chartered) secretary and have recently obtained my CAPM through PMI in the States (certified professional in project management). I have 6 years experience at a law firm and 6 years in a senior management capacity with a global corporate in the financial services industry. I'm looking to move out of a specialised legal, compliance and risk management role into a more strategic management role, potentially with a consulting firm, although I'm open to new opportunities in other sectors.
I have family in the UK so am considering applying to Cambridge and also to St Gallen in Switzerland (primarily due to work synergies there). I was considering INSEAD but the language requirements for entry and tight application deadlines make it somewhat difficult for me.
Would be great to hear how everyone's applications are going! Good luck :)
