I'm a KCL alumni. I think it's a very academic business school, and very disjointed as a small MSc in a huge university. At Bocconi you will have a big business school and it is an important programme for the school. SDA has much better resources than the school of management.

Why not look at Lancaster, Manchester, CBS, ESADE, EDHEC or Skema?

You may also want to look into Alma Graduate School's Design, Fashion & Luxury Goods MBA. It's a one-year program in Bologna, Italy. I'm currently a student now. One of the biggest draws for me was the relationship the school has with many major luxury corporations (Alessi, Ducati, Ferrari, Bulgari, Max Mara, Tod's, etc); many of the courses are taught by managing directors of these successful firms. The course on Industrial Design & Branding was taught by the managing director of Alessi; the Gemology & Watches course was taught by the managing director of Bulgari Italy. A 400-hour (essentially 3 months) internship is also part of the program. Plus, with the scholarships and the honor loans, it's impossible for you to NOT have the funds to attend. If there were even any comparable programs in the States, it would have still been easier for me to go to this school than have to find the outside funds to do so. I did get accepted at the End to the MAFED Bocconi Program and now I dont know what to do. I know its an official masters, I know SDA Bocconi is amazing, I also will get an first class education, a excellent masters in Management with everything that comes to it, but will still at the same time focus on the industry field that I am interest in.... BUT.... The 12 month Master Degree does not have official ECTS (European Credit Transfer Points) and now I am worried. In Europe these points indicate the your degree... the level of work of a degree. It allows students to study in different countries... I know that if I ever wanted to do an PHd I would need a master degree with 90 - 120 ECTS Points (1- 2 year Master) but I will never do a PHD Degree... I am Business student and not interested in doing a Phd.. but still.... I am worried about the fact that it is not a Master of Science, or a Master of Arts etc....

Now Kings College... That would be a Master of Science in Marketing.... I also know Kings College reputation is as high due to its degrees in LAW and INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS but does not have such a recognized business school as other business schools in london (eg. LSE, City, LBS)

Furthermore u do not write a disseration (Master Thesis) at SDA.. u do a Indiviual Project and finish ur exams in order to your Master in Fashion, Experience and Design Management Degree.

What should I do? Both courses interest me.... Marketing is a passion of mine, whereas the the degree at Bocconi (although the name sounds very precise) is a very generall and first class business / management degree... = the first 5 months are dedicated to economics, law, taxation, accounting etc... the other 5 months are dedicated to industry related subjects.

Bocconi is the most respected university in that country. Even if they don't record it offcially, then everyone will accept it as 60 ECTS. I think the MAFED is probably an MA: Why else would there be an A in the name. Ask them, but remember that an MBA isn't a MA or MSc either.

So you think a Master at the SDA Bocconi is a better choice then doing a Masters Degree at King's College? I guess your right, Bocconi is very well recognized here in Europe. Everyone knows Bocconi.
What are ur thoughts about King's College Business Department? I know the university is famous for its Law and Politics / History courses.

The school of management at KCL is not well known. It's very academic in orientation, and not really very well connected to employers or the labour market. I have taken some post-graduate courses there, and I think the teaching is at the same level as elsewhere in KCL. However, at Bocconi you will be at a qualitatively higher level in terms of teachers' involvement with students, students' English-language skills, their connection to employers and the educational experience.

Remember, your task is not to pick a famous college, or else everyone would go to the Sorbonne. Your task is to pick a course they gets you closer to your goals.

I am currently doing the MAFED here at Milano, there are about 40 people, 90% of them are female and the other 10% male. There are many persons here that graduated and applied to the master and got accepted, so prior experience is not a must (maybe they are not getting enough applicants). Average age is about 24 - 25
