Hi, I am hesitating between these two: Master in Quantitative Finance of University of Kiel and master in Finance of University of Ulm? Could anyone provide some hindsight on which would be a better option? Thanks :)

Very similar. The Ulm programme seems to start at a slightly higher level, with Fractional Brownian motion in the first semester. Kiel is a great university and has a global reputation for macroeconomics. Ulm seems like a much nicer place to spend two years, unless you love sailing.

Thanks for the reply. What about the university reputation? Is it kinda far apart or is like almost similar? As a foreign student, it seems kind of hard to decide due to limited information as results from the university ranking varies and honestly I don't really know about these 2 university before applying. Also, in terms of living expenses, which would be a cheaper place to live in?

The CHE rankings of Germany universities are good.
Kiel is cheaper: http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=Germany&country2=Germany&city1=Kiel&city2=Ulm

@Jess, did you get to decide? I am having the same query for both the same courses and university. I have to send a confirmation to Ulm with first semester fees but not being able to decide between Kiel and Ulm. If you have come across any additional resources, can you please share them? or can you contact me at [email protected]
