MBA in Europe with strong American network

Hi, I'm an American and I am in the market for an MBA.

I would like to do my MBA in Europe and get some international experience before moving back to the east coast. Can somebody please advise on the following:

- which European business schools have the strongest network in the US
- how reasonable is it to expect that I can get placed in a job in a European country assuming I would only work for two years or so?
- assuming I speak French and German fluently, which country would make the most sense?

I was looking at St. Gallen since this school seems to have strong placements in the DACH region. Also on the list is INSEAD and LBS. I'm basically looking for any info on how these schools stack up in terms of their American networks.

St Gallen makes no sense if you want to work in the US. The only serious choices are Insead or LBS. One advantage of LBS is that you could have an exchange semester in the Americas or Asia, and that would also build your value. Provided that you show your motivation to succeed in Europe, I think it's very likely that you will get work in Europe from LBS (It has a 93% placement rate. Insead is at 83%, and that's still okay but riskier). Given LBS's US format two year MBA, it attracts a large number of US students and exchangers from top schools. I think it's the obvious choice for you unless you are targeting Insead's lead stakeholders, McKinsey and Goldman.

Totally Agree. Only INSEAD and LBS have real clout in the US and are brand names. Their employment statistics also shows that their grads are employable in the US. A good sign for you :)

Yep. You could also try Ox-bridge sicne there's nobody in the whole anglo world who won't know those schools (even if the B-schools are a little bit less known), and HEC has something of a name too, even if the brand is a touch less strong than LBS/INSEAD.
