MiM or MBA in Europe

I have job experiences of 6 years which doesn't allow me to meet the requirement of max 2 years of job exp for most MSc/MiM Programmes in Europe. Hence some business schools had suggested me to take up MBA instead of MiM.

However forums and online research seemed to show that MiM Programmes are more recognised than MBA Programmes in Europe.

Seeking for feedback for:
1) are job placements for MiM/MSc generally better than MBA in Europe?
2) any MSc/MiM schools to recommend that accepts candidates for extensive work experience?

You are simply not eligible for the MiM at top schools, so don't worry about it. Indeed the MSc is better known than the MBA, and the BSc is better known than the MSc. If you compare MBA and MiM programmes at the same school then the MBA is more valued.

Thanks Duncan. But could you elaborate on MBA being more valued yet less recognised than MiM Programmes of the same school? What are the factors being considered under 'more valued'? Doesn't programme recognition contribute to greater value as well?

MBAs are paid more than MSc students from the same school because they have three years work experience and are thus more productive and effective. Recognition is awareness. More people recognise McDonald's than McKinsey but a McKinsey alum is worth more. Similarly a more valuable person is paid more than a less valuable person, even if there is more awareness of the less valuable persons qualification.

This is also the case with schools. ISB is less well known than the Open University but OU graduates earn less.
