Nyenrode or TiasNimbas

I just got the MBA offers from both Nyenrode and TiasNimbas, and now I don't know how to choose. I'd like to find a job after the MBA.

It seems that Nyenrode has a strong network, and it has 3 International Modules(EU, Asia and US). But I hear that her reputation now in the Netherlands is falling down.

TiasNimbas has a higher ranking, and it seems more focused in Finance, which I like.

Both of the programs have wrap-up projects. Nyenrode's lasts for 4-6 weeks, and Tias' 4-5 months. Students from both sides say the project is valuable and does help to find a job. But I am wondering if 6 weeks is too short and 4 months are too long.

I have talked to students from both sides, and of course they are both positive about their own programs. I am now a bit confused.

Anyone has any idea about these two business schools?

China. I don't know Dutch. But I do want to find a job in Europe after MBA. Of course there is crisis n the market is not doing good especially in the finance field. But I want to try.

Yes. Both of them give me scholarship. The rest of the expenses are pretty much the same for both.

Browse this forum and you ll find out that there are several complaints with job search in The Neatherlands when 1) you don't know dutch 2) you are outside EU
Did you consider Rotterdam? some months ago I talked with an italian student from RSM and he told me that nobody even mentions Tiansnimbas... I also talked with an italian who took the Tias mba and he was quite clear: the mba has value in the country but it doesn't carry the weight of more prestigious mbas

RSM is good but its mba begins in Jan, and I don't want to wait for another half a year. And more importantly, it is not easy to get scholarship. So I don't give many thoughts to it.

I know that it's very late but schools like Cranfield and Cass have good schoolarships as well! did you try something outside The Netherlands?

The reason I choose the netherlands is because of the visa. They offer one year visa for international students to look for jobs after graduation. UK seems not having such a policy any more. And they have higher requirement for working permit as well. Besides I do like the Netherlands. Very nice place.

A half-year's time may be a small price to pay - considering RSM grads usually end up making substantially more than grads from the schools you are looking at.

I was wondering the same. Does anyone know what is the percentage of full-time students who get scholarships at RSM? Looks like the maximum the one can get (if not from India, Austria, China, Portugal, Denmark, etc.) is 10 000 from the corporate scholarship. That doesn't seem impressive... even less attractive if less than 5% of students receive it.

MBA is about career or more blunt money. Forget about living in a nice place. As long as the economy is booming and the place is safe I go for it. There are plenty of holiday in europe.
