Rennes school of business iMBA program

Hello, My name is Nishant and applying for RSB MBA programme. https://www.rennes-sb.com/programmes/imba/ . I was hovering all the programmes including MSc, they have not provided any data regarding the MBA job opportunities. Not even mean salary was given in brochure. But career opportunites are given for all other MSc program.

I feel this (iMBA) is a new course they are offering so no data is given.
can anyone guide me on this?

It is a Grande école (ESC) and triple accredited, so the quality of your studies will be pretty good.

Grandes écoles are the most prestigious schools in France (well above french universities)

As far as I can tell it ranks 12-13th among the 38 grandes écoles de commerce

If your french is very good, and you have permission to work in France your chances at finding job in France are decent.

You should probably consider the top5 business schools first (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, EM Lyon, EDHEC)

Hmmmm which would you say is 5th? Grenoble? Kedge? Skema?

I think there is quite a mess under top four now. EMLyon's focus on entrepreneurship certainly means that Grenoble outperforms EML in the QS ranking. The Economist has Grenoble over Essec, which seems wierd to me. Ieseg, Kedge, Neoma and Skema also form quite a tight pack.

In French rankings EM Lyon is usually 4th. In places like le figaro (4th), l' étudiant (4th), le point (3rd tied with 2nd), le parisien (5th tied with 4th). Grenoble and Skema are usually the next two

Granted the big recruiters will probably be looking at international rankings, but for many (probably most) companies in France, the local rankings will have big impact.

Well, the grandes ecoles programmes have very different students: far fewer are foreign.

Ok fair enough. But even for MBA in the FT rankings Em Lyon was 99 last year and rose to 80 for 2019. It would indicate they are doing better.

For most potential applicants reading this site, this is the best advice in the thread. Although there is a pretty wide gap between HEC and the rest. ESCP is rather known for its Master's programs and Executive Master's programs.

Ultimately though it depends on where this candidate is coming from and what they want to do with the degree (not to mention if their goals include living and working in France, their level of French language skills.)

EDHEC and ESSEC have campuses in Singapore, but Asia is a big place. EMLyon has high % employed and a strong entrepreneurship niche. ESSEC is more corporate. I think it depends on your goals. See: How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571

Why are you excluding HEC? This school has perhaps the biggest network in some of the regions you are targeting, of this group.

I excluded as I totally thought the same as you said and I want to know about the other 4 schools.

Basically INSEAD and HEC are the two best, but what about the rest in terms of international (or at least regional: Europe) career, as most probably they are very strong anyways nationally.

There really isn't a European labour market, and few European business schools have a international reputation beyond their own strategic partners. Take a look at

Just to stress George's point, if you speak French and are focussing on France then you can look outside the top seven or eight grandes ecoles. I notice, for example, that EM Normandie did okay in the new FT European Business School rankings on Monday. But it would be a risky choice even in the cities outside France where it has a campus, like Oxford.
