my opinion is the following:

Swiss Management Center is focused on distance learning (high flexibility) and has a strong international reach (see their corporate reference list). The student profiles featured on their webiste give some reassurrance and seem to have a high standing, thus networking should be strong.

swiss business school "promotes" a distance learning program, but they do not have a high standing in this field. they rather focus on their on site programs thus flexibiltiy will be limited, unless you are willing to travel frequently (see their flex program). However it is a well run and dynamic institution.

Both Swiss business school and swiss management center work under the anglo saxon system and do not confer "swiss" degrees. their degrees are accredited by international organizations.

FHNW, School of Business in Basel confers degrees recognized by the swiss government, however its international reputation is limited. They are also not famous for delivering a decent distance learning program.

My question is not anymore actual, I have decided to start with a distance learning course from Open University Uk. This course is also a part of MBA and I can continue studying at my rhytme until I get all the courses (7-9) for an MBA. I think this suits best my personal situation and gives me the flexibility to learn at my own rhytme, has local German contact sites (so traveling is limited but possible and encouraged) and has lots of international accreditations.

OU is a much better choice than those other options you were looking at. Congrats!

On a side note it's striking how many borderline shady business schools with generic names that there are in Switzerland.

The state universities evidently don't have political weight.
