UCD or WHU MBA

I'm 38 years old and from South America . I speak Spanish and English. My experience is on general business administration. I am considering WHU and UCD. I got 670 on GMAT.

My main goal is to start a career in Europe in finance. I'd love go to Germany, but I'm afraid of the class average age (WHU seems to be younger than UCD). Next month I'd start learning German. On the other hand, the UCD seems to have less electives and I think that the market in Ireland is more restricted to IT.

The FT ranking had no enough data for WHU. Could anyone give me some advice?

In general, the UCD program, since it is ranked in the FT, is probably the better choice for most students.

Are you looking to start your MBA in the fall? Without some integrative learning (like going to Germany now and immersing yourself before you'd start at WHU) I would worry that your German skills would not be enough to land a great job in the country after graduating.

It's not clear - are you looking at finance roles or IT roles?

Considering the FT ranking, UCD seems a better option. However, in 2016, The Economist ranked WHU better than UCD.

Taking a look at the market, the German market is bigger than the Irish. While the first one has more diverse opportunities, the Irish market seems to have more opportunities in IT, which I have no experience.

But, the german language would be a big issue. I would start learning german on April to start the MBA in the fall.

Would you start in Germany in April? I guess in that case you could be B1 by the time you start and perhaps B2 by the time you finish... Not good enough to work in many finance functions.

The Economist is much less reliable as an indicator of quality.
