Best international MBA destination for Indian student

Hello I am looking at doing an MBA abroad starting next year but I am confused.

Considering the US, with the political environment and Donald Trump I am not so sure. Especially with the H 1B visa issues. So for the most part I think this option is off the table.

Even the UK there are obviously problems with Brexit and the visa situation there too. As well this is discouraging!

What are the other options? I would appreciate any feedback from MBA graduates from India who have gone on to places like Canada or Australia. I do not know much about the job opportunities in these country. As well Hong Kong.

In general you want to be look at the best school you can get into. Don't do an MBA from a school that lacks at least one of the 'major' international accreditations (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB). For best results, go to a school that's in the FT Global MBA ranking.

I appreciate the thoughtful response. If I understand correctly, you don't think the UK is a good choice? This is what I have been hearing from other people as well.

My goals are rather flexible. I currently work in IT / technology and I would be interested in starting my own business eventually. But in the short terms I would consider another industry such as finance. I do not believe I want to stay in IT but I would if I have to.

The UK wouldn't be a bad choice if you do your MBA at one of the school's better business schools (the ones in the top of the FT ranking). Regardless of what's happening politically, top schools like LBS and Warwick continue to place students—even international students—in solid roles in the UK and elsewhere.
