I suggest UT Dallas, Boston University and the Kelley MS. Florida, Georgetown and Northwestern have well designed programs which pay good attention to digital and integrated marketing. MSU Broad has a great MS in marketing research.

Hello Duncan and George. My apologies for the late response and thank you for your responses.

I am leaning towards a degree in the US as I am currently developing my career in North America. From my research indeed these are great programs:
1. Northwestern is regarded as the leading business school for marketing studies. The IMC program is world class but tuition fees are ridiculously expensive.Is it worth?
2. UT Dallas offers a great curriculum with personalized tracks although this school is younger and am not familiar with its reputation among employers.
3. Georgetown's new Master's in Integrated Marketing Communications is a Master of Professional Studies. Could anybody explain what is the real difference between an MSc/MS vs MPS?

@Duncan these are my top 3 preferences. Any idea on which one offers better job prospects after graduation? Do you think these programs help to land a great marketing position? It is pretty difficult to find this data. It seems like there is not a reliable ranking of Masters in Marketing programs. Would you trust the TFE best masters in marketing ranking? Thanks!

UTD is the only one in a business school I think so the cohort and career services will be better. IMC courses will be aimed more at journalism majors looking for part time degrees to support development in their existing careers. MPS is a professional development degree, normally lacking a thesis and at a less scholarly level than an MS.

Dear Duncan many thanks for the insights. Honestly I am not 100% confident on these programs and the value they could bring to my career. I guess my fear is due the online delivery component. I am afraid I am not disciplined enough to pursue an online program and prefer the routine of attending classes in person.
When it comes to curriculum I find UT Dallas a bit broad covering statistics, business, finance... I'd rather focus only on marketing courses.

Given that I am not fully confident on pursuing this degree online I am also considering on site options like the recently announced Master of Marketing offered by the Schulich School of Business (really unique in Canada) or the MS Integrated Marketing from NY School of Professional Studies. Both institutions have a curriculum that offers a holistic view of marketing strategy and communications. What do you think? What Masters would you pursue if your objective was to pursue a career in Canada or the US? Thanks!

I understand your concerns about online study. Different people have different experiences.

I think you need to clarify your goals more. At the start of the thread, you said you wanted to focus on knowledge. However, you seem to be really focussed on schools with high cost and high brand recognition. I think you have a lot of options; For example, I think West Virginia's IMC online program (https://imc.wvu.edu/) is just as adequate as the Medill program in some ways, and is way under $80k. And I think the assumptions about brands need to be tested: Northwestern isn't the top school for marketing: Kellogg was in the 1990s and now it's one of a number of strong schools (https://find-mba.com/lists/top-business-school-by-speciality/top-business-schools-for-marketing). their collective impact means that you get great training in marketing strategy everywhere. Kellogg's past contribution to the Medill degree seems to have ended several years ago.

If your emphasis is on career progression, then you need to focus on the school with the best career services. Georgetown and NYU are great schools academically, but continuing education schools generally do not have good careers teams.
