I'm Ukrainian. I have 3 years of experience as a manager in a mid-size clothing retail chain in Ukraine. I would like to purchase an MBA now. I'm considering the change of country because of economic crisis and war in Ukraine. I decided to apply to Italian MBA in Bocconi, because it has a specialization in luxury industry (I have some experience in this industry and some connections in Italian luxury industry). Also, I scored 710 in GMAT, which gives me a chance to get 50-70% scholarship in Bocconi. In this case I will pay only 15-25 USD for 26th-ranked MBA.
I speak intermediate Italian, and I will improve it. I also speak Ukrainian, Russian and Polish fluently.
But I have some doubts whether Italy is a good country to immigrate. Its economy is declining, work permit is hard to obtain, immigrants are not always welcome.
Does anybody have an MBA experience in Italy? How are job prospects for foreigners in Italy, especially in retail, marketing or fashion industry? Is Bocconi an excellent BS?

I think these are reasonable concerns. If SDA Bocconi will offer you a scholarship, then better schools might also. But the funding they offer you will smaller than the greater earnings from a better programme. Without really fluent, business-class Italian your options might be limited. A Croatian friend of mine graduated from SDA Bocconi and ended up working in Germany later.

I don't think that it's *that* hard to convert your student visa into a work visa after graduation. Check with the school though.

In the FT ranking, SDA Bocconi is 22nd in terms of international mobility, which makes it better than most schools in terms of helping students change countries, but not as good as other European schools like ESMT, Tias, or ESADE. It is, however, one of the better schools in terms of landing jobs in the luxury industry. If that's your goal, you could do a lot worse.
