if you have the chance, it is always better to do your studies directly in campus together with other students. Networking and the exchange with other young professionals are important features of an MBA. Besides, the DL solution requires a lot of discipline since you are always alone to start studying.

I have not heard of any top MBA in Israel, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyone else knows?
Anyways, it sounds as if you can't leave Israel because you need to keep your job and continue working during the MBA.

Or do you also consider taking a break for the time of the MBA to do one of the top notch programs in Europe or the US?

Well, as u stated, i can't really take a break from my job, as i am already in a good position, and i fear that i would lose it. as i said before, i want to use the MBA to get into to higher levels of the company, and thats why i was thinking of doing a DL or part time studys.

Can anyone comment about the pitfalls of DL MBA besides the obvious one about making contacts? How hard would you say are DL programs are, compared to Part time programs?

One Question that i still have is - how much time do u need to put in a DL MBA? As i said, im still working full time. so, how much Time is A DL MBA Student need/expected to put in on a weekly basis?

That really depends on the programme you choose, and how demanding you find it. I would have a look in much more detail at some possible courses, then post a question about that specific DL MBA, and hopefully someone with experience will respond.

Israeli MBA programs are not really known outside the country, they are probably ok but not top.
As a MBA is a big investment in of and money I advise you to go for a really good program. A DL MBA can be a good option.

But as you write that you don't have the money for Tel AViv Uni MBA, I have to warn you: Good programs cost a lot of money, but its worth it. If you do a cheaper MBA it will still be a lot of money, but not worth much in terms of studies and degree.

I understand that you intend to keep the job in your company, you should try to find out what the vision of the management is, if an Israeli or an international degree are seen as more valuable, making you promotion easier

I am also in a situation like you are describing (and a fellow Israeli)

Israeli part time programs:
most programs here are part time (except for the honorari ben gurion MBA program) that is most require 1-2 afternonnsq/evenings with or without friday stduy.
best progrmas should be the Tel aviv one (normal MBA - not so expensive, EMBA - very expensive -about 200000 NIS- but you get a degree from both tel aviv and kellog).
other good programs that cost arounf 70000 NIS are the interdiciplinary one in herzeliya and the managment college in rishon one.

on line programs:
I am looking at this option myself - 2 good schools that offer online study are - IE (institute de empresia) and Thunderbird. both are accredited and highly ranked B schhols. you can check their websites for more info.
they cost around the 50000$.

I guess you should check with your employer or HR department and check which program will best enhance your chances for promotion.
from my experience, a good Israeli program is both cheeper and sufficient for a promotion within Israel.
if an international career is an option go for the Kellog-recanati tel aviv program (take a student loan) or the IE online program.

Thanks for the useful info - i think i will try the herzeliya interdiciplinary - it is not as expensive as the Emba from recanati, but the center has a very good reputation in Israel.
