EMBA or MBA

Hi Duncan,

I am planning to do MBA from UK or Canada. I am having experience of more than 7 years in Aerospace manufacturing industry. We used to manufacture Critical Rotating parts of Engines and Sub Sea components used in Oil Industry (Upstream).

I am confused between Executive MBA and Regular MBA as I want to make career in Global Sourcing in Aerospace or Oil industries.

Please suggest me good universities in UK or in Canada.

I get the feeling that you need to do some basic research. I am not sure that you need an MBA to make this transition. Look at the profiles of people in these roles, using LinkedIn, perhaps?

I agree that you should do more research.

However, if you do want to make a geographical transition: for instance if you're not a resident of either the UK or Canada and want to build a network in one of those countries with the intention of working there, a full-time MBA program is most often the best choice. Check out the schools ranked in the FT: in Canada those would include Rotman, UBC, McGill, Ivey, etc., while in the UK you have many choices including Imperial, LBS, Cass, Durham, etc. etc.

Your experience would fit well in the RGU oil and gas program, which is a great choice for oil industry professionals who want to transition to the Scotland oil sector (Aberdeen).
