Government MBA

Hello,

I work in a government office in a developing country and I have been charged with doing an MBA that will help me manage some structural change projects down the road.

What are some MBA programs I can look at? I studied in the US for my bachelor degree and I enjoyed the experience. I would like to go back or maybe go to England.

Yale, BU, NYU, George Washington would all be good choices.

Not sure if you have the time, but many students in your position also choose to combine their MBA with an MPA or a MPP... Harvard has a fantastic MBA/MPP program through a partnership with the Kennedy School.

Yes, I would certainly look at MPA and MPP options alongside MBAs. The mid-career masters at Harvard Kennedy School feels useful. I would also look at the school of public policy at NUS, if Asia is interesting for you. The joint NYU-UCL MPA gives you a great network in the Commonwealth of Nations and in the Americas.

I could potentially take a third year but it's not ideal. Do you know of any MBA/MPA or MBA/MPP options where, the third year is more flexible in the sense of residency? For instance, if the majority of the third year was a capstone experience to be carried out with my department.

I can't think of anything like that, if you're limited to two years it might be an "either/or" situation.
