GRE to MBA

Hi Duncan,

I am Spoorthi Purumala, currently working as a Business Technology Analyst ( overall 3 years of experience) at Deloitte consulting. I want to apply to B schools through GRE score and I am finding it extremely difficult to understand where I stand and what my chances are

GRE (2010) : 1320

Note : this translates to 660 GMAT or 314 in the new GRE format.

I aim to do MBA - consulting concentration and become a healthcare consultant ( served public sector clients)

Can you please weigh my chances with your experience into the following prorgams-

Indiana University : Kelley
William and Mary : Mason school of business
University of wisconsin: Madison

You're in the ballpark for Mason - I'd say that Kelley and Wisconsin are reach schools for you.

At all three of these schools, your lower-than average work experience puts you at a disadvantage (Wisconsin and Kelley class profiles usually average around 5 years). To mitigate this, you'd have to get a GMAT score that's higher than average (say 700+ for these schools.) But the best thing you could do for your profile is to put off the MBA and get another year of work experience.
