Impact Investing MBA Essay

Hi All,

I am applying for MBA 2019 fall intake and I am working on application essay. Post-undergrad, I have been working in investing banking and investment firms for 4 years. Now post-MBA, I intend to pursue impact investing career, however, I am not sure whether it would easy to enter into impact investing post MBA given I have no direct PE experience (though I worked on two passive private investments). Also, how should I draft a story about impact investing in my MBA application, given there could be bunch of finance applicants who would be writing about impact investing in their story lines?

I would appreciate if someone already working in impact investing or pursuing MBA at a top b-school can help me on this. Thanks.

So, I am sure you have found lots of articles online about how to plan, write and edit an MBA application essay. And you have found websites of consultants. So... What are you asking that you have not already found?

In terms of your concerns about not having impact investing experience, you could always do an internship in a firm that works on impact investments.
