Hi all (especially Duncan)
I have been a regular reader of this forum for the past few months.
I am an Indian male aged 31 Production Engineer from Anna University with 7.2 GPA
Have 10 years of experience 5+ in a managerial role (8 years in the public sector 2 years in the private sector)
I do have offers with Strathclyde/Bath/Birmingham I didn't give GMAT At that time.
Due to this ongoing COVID crisis, I am thinking to choose coming Jan intake
I have given my online GMAT test and got 660(V49 Q31 IR 7) though was getting 700+ in the mocks. Now I cannot have a second attempt either
My goal is to switch field get exposure in business development and strategy as well as international exposure. In few years want to start an auto component manufacturing startup for which I require both contacts and capital.
I have shortlisted on IE, Lisbon MBA, ESMT, and WHU. What are my chances with them? Is my choice correct or not? Any other options?

Where (in which country) do you want to work? Do you already speak Spanish, Portuguese, or German to a fluent degree?

Europe's economy is strongly oriented around nations and each nation of course has its own language. The generic advice is: study where you want to work, and in a country where you already speak the language.

Europe's economy is strongly oriented around nations and each nation of course has its own language. The generic advice is: study where you want to work, and in a country where you already speak the language.

I am thinking to take up a language course based on the outcome of the admissions. Will get a 5 months before going the course. Hope to reach a B1 or B2 before course.

Can you be more specific about the 'exposure' you want?

I don't understand why you are not able to attempt the GMAT: https://www.mba.com/exams/gmat-online

I am unable take the GMAT again because gmac allows online gmat only once and the test centers are yet to be open in my location.

I want to start my own manufacturing set up in few years. I have experience in manufacturing and operations but none when comes to business development. So post MBA if I can get some work in that field and international contacts it would be helpful for me to set up my own business.

Yes I do want to give priority to international student placing schools and those school which gives me contacts in the long run. I feel European market is less explored by Indian manufacturing, so I can gain contacts for my future business.

So based on this if you can suggest me a school it would be better

Looking at the two forum posts I shared, City, ESADE, Imperial and Manchester stand out (as European schools on both lists). Since you don't seem to speak Spanish or Catalan, I would exclude ESADE. Manchester and Imperial seem to be good options.

IE, Lisbon, ESMT, and WHU are all in countries where you don't speak the language and will be less well acculturated. If you were to take a year-long intensive language course and then a specialized masters taught in the local language you could be well placed.
