Manchester MBA vs Imperial MBA

Hi

I have offers from Manchester as well as Imperial for full-time MBA programme.
However, I am a bit confused as to which one should I accept.
I am currently working as a Solutions Architect with a US based IT MNC. I will complete 9 years next month. I want to transition to Consulting after my MBA.

I want to know how good is the reputation and careers service of each of these schools. I want to work in the UK for some time after the completion of my course.

Please help.

This depends on the sort of consulting you want to work in, and your current right to work in the UK. If you have an easy transition (EEA resident into IT consulting, Imperial is enough). If you have a complex transition (non-EEA into non-IT consulting) then Manchester's projects and internships will better support you along the risky path. Also consider Cranfield.

Thanks for the reply.
I forgot to mention that I’m from India.
My post-MBA career choices are in below order:
- Management Consulting (Big 3)
- Technology Companies (Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc.)
- Strategy Consulting (EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Accenture etc.)

What do you think now?

I am not clear on the role you want, but it sounds like Manchester.

I would think that Imperial, with its better standing in the ranking, plus its London location and decent placements into consulting, could at least be a consideration.

It's better ranked because the students are making less ambitious transitions.
