MBA in Ireland.

Hi All,

I would like some information about Dublin Business School, Dublin , how is the MBA there ?
also how are the job opportunities after an MBA in Ireland generally ? What are the Visa rules.
I am from India and have an engineering degree with 2 yrs work exp. Please advice asap.

That's a very strange for-profit school. It doesn't have the right to issue MBA degrees. Are its MBAs awarded by some university outside Ireland?

Yes, they are given by Liverpool John Moores. What about Waterford Institute of Technology. I am also waiting for a reply from UCD for Msc in International Business.

WIT is better. It is a well known regional technical college. UCD does have the right to issue degrees, and is qualitatively stronger.

WIT is offering mbite-Msc in business inovation and technology and entrepreurship. I dont know what that course is all about and what will they teach and how relevant this course would be for my future prospects.
Just got a mail from UCD tha they cant offer me the course applied for as my background is not business or economics.
What to do ? Please advice.

I did not apply to for them. I had applied for an MBA but this is what they offered instead of an MBA.

You don't have enough work experience for an accredited MBA. If you have been applying for them, then you have not need doing your research very well.

What are your goals?

There must be a reason why you looked at Ireland, since India has great business schools. What is your GMAT score?

i did not take the GMAT. I think that perhaps Ireland has better education system because of the Govt. body HETAC looking after it. That is the foremost reason.

If you don't have any very specific goals then take the path that gives you the most options. Use the next few months to get a strong GMAT score and apply to the best schools that fit your GMAT for entry next year.
