I would consider HEC Paris.
Hi,
I'm currently a student at HEC and I second that.
To me, anyone seriously looking at a good degree in Luxury Brand Management should consider mainly ESSEC and HEC. (I'll obviously write more about HEC as I'm better informed about it.)
Why?
1) Because these two institutions are so prestigious in France that it can open many doors.
In France everybody has heard of HEC, and many have heard of ESSEC. Skema and IUM are never heard of. It is important to think about it because it means that when the Luxury Club tries to organise a visit of LV's flagship store, the LV staff is responsive ;)
2) Because location matters.
Being located in Paris (or close to Paris), these two institutions allow their students to discover a lot of what Luxury is. Hey, all you need is to walk around the city during the week end.
3) Because these two programmes are just the most qualified.
ESSEC has had their Luxury programme for over a decade now and they are recognised in the industry.
HEC has started a Luxury certificate this year (
http://www.hec.edu/Certificates/Luxury-Strategies/About-the-certificate) and it has been able to attract amazing teachers (as an example, one teacher use to be the CEO of LV, and another one was VP at Hermès reporting to the CEO). Please note that these are teachers, not just one-off seminars. These people can teach luxury as they lived it for years and are open to discuss the student's projects.
