MBA, then MIM?

Hello !

I've come across doing research on LinkedIn and found that some people attend Master's degrees one after another, like MIF from university X, then MIF from university Y.

I've also seen some people still attend MIM at top school after obtaining MBA from mid-tier school because their bachelor degrees were from disciplines other than business. Is it normal?

What would be the best combo so far? I'd be more than happy if you could please sort the list below: (*X means above-average sch, Y means top sch)
1. MIF from X, MIM from Y
2. MBA from X, MIM from Y
3. MBA from X, MIF from Y (very expensive option tho)

A top MiM would not admit someone with an MBA from an accredited school, surely? The curriculum would be the same.

Oh I see sir. Because I've found out that some MiM say that it requires a business-related degree to apply.

Yes, around half the MiM degrees in the FT ranking require an undergraduate degree in business. They are modeled on the final years of longer degrees like the Diplom Kaufmann/frau which were replaced by the Bologna Process

Which could be the best so far? There are some limitations impacted by an irrelevant UG degree so either MIM or MIF cannot be attended at Y directly, so, need to attend a business-related degree first before joining Y.

This is a question for the admissions team at Y, but could you focus on your goals a bit more? Two masters degrees with, almost certainly, a big over-lap in the content which would be a disadvantage with the admissions team for the second degree. MIF -> MiM makes less sense than MiM -> MiF. Alternatively, why not take a top-up BSc in business (the final year of a full-time BSc, but online) and thus get the relevant undergraduate degree required by the degrees you are targetting?

Thank you for your input, as always sir. Although I hold an online BBA, School Y doesn't appreciate it that much. That's why.

Ask them what sort of degrees they would accept. If your BBA does not impress them, maybe the MiF won't either?
