What sort of good job do you want? 

@ Duncan,&nbsp; I am looking for jobs managing complex projects since it is what I have most experience in.&nbsp; So a mid level manager is the sort of position I hope to find. I also hAve few years of corporate sales experience I could use.&nbsp;<br><br>Thanks for your feedback.&nbsp;

Managers of complex projects don't often have MBas, do they?&nbsp;

So will the MSC in project management be a better&nbsp; choice? Or an MBA plus a PMP certification?&nbsp; How would you rank these programs in terms of mid level managerial job market.&nbsp;

Start with developing goals that are more specific.

What kind of projects do you manage now and what types do you want to manage in future?<br><br>A Masters in Project management seems overkill. I can't see what you could get that you couldn't get by doing PRINCE2 (or equivalent) if you haven't already got it. Or the MSP certification, up to Advanced Practioner if you wanted. Or the Management of Portfolio (MoP) certifictaion.&nbsp;

I agree, an MBA (plus a certification like PMP) is more than enough if you want to work as a project manager. Aim for the best school you can and prioritize school reputation and rankings.&nbsp;

Thank you for your responses. I have decided to go for the MBA since it will give me more mobility.&nbsp; Now have offers from Strathclyde, Exeter, Loughborough and Glasgow. Can you please suggest which will be best for an International career in project management .&nbsp;

I don't think any of these schools will have an edge in 'project management.' Most schools will prepare their graduates for managing projects. It's part of an MBA.<br><br>Maybe you can focus instead on what kind of company you want to work in: which industry, what type of business - and then go from there.<br><br>Typically though, the best advice is always to choose the highest ranked / best school.&nbsp;

I still cannot decide between Exeter and Strathclyde as both seem quite good.&nbsp; I like Glasgow city and think it may be better for finding employment, Strathclyde also has better placement. But Exeter seems more well known In England and internationally. Also Exeter is a Russel group university.&nbsp; Can you please suggest if these points hold truth and tell me which MBA will be better for me.<br>Thanks.&nbsp;<br><br>

I also have an offer now from university of Leeds. @ Duncan, Is Strathclyde still a better MBA in 2020 as I noticed it is lowered in rankings compared to last few years. My offers now are from Strathclyde, Exeter, Glasgow, Loughborough and Leeds. Also will the Strathclyde/Glasgow MBA&nbsp;be well recognised in London&nbsp; Looking for your advice. Thank you

Leeds seems to have a slightly more senior group of students, since the salary average is higher, but the increase lower, than Strathclyde.&nbsp;

Strathclyde is certainly the best known of these MBAs by major mainstream recruiters, even in London. However, London isn't the only place with jobs. It does, however, have the most competitive labour supply in Europe. The lower cost of living means disposable income is higher for most professionals in Scotland and Northern England than in London. I read that disposable income is three times higher in Edinburgh than in London, for example.

It's an MBA, issued by an actual university, so I would imagine that employers would be fine with it. However, you should know that an MBA isn't often an actual 'requirement' for many jobs - most jobs, even at the management level will probably just say that an MBA is preferred.<br><br>So, what it comes down to is what kind of network and career support come out of any degree you are considering.&nbsp;

I think he means well-recognised, as highly desirable talent pool busknes schools,&nbsp; rather than recognised as being real universities.

I am almost certain about Strathclyde now also received decent scholarship(10,000)&nbsp; Just waiting for scholarship decision from Leeds. Leeds and Strathclyde are very close I feel. Any more insight about Leeds please?&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Also, its quite surprising why Strathclyde ranking is going down every year any specific reasons to that you think ?&nbsp;

I think most European schools are falling long-term, but UK schools focussed on placing non-EU students have a harder time.
