First of all, if you're wondering you can get into an MBA despite a lack of people-managerial experience--do not worry. It's totally possible. What's more important is to show that you've got leadership skills, and you can do this by showing how well you relate to people, how committed you are to a task, etc. Leadership does not always have to mean being in charge of someone.

Secondly, if you want an MBA for an entrepreneurial career, then that's what you want. There is no right or wrong. However, you need to convince the adcom in your essays that you have a coherent goal and that you didn't just decide to become an entrepreneur on a whim. They could always ask you--so why not just become an entrepreneur then? Your past needs to somehow logically lead to your present and your future career goal.

An MBA is a very good idea for entrepreneurial type career - it is a chance to learn lots of skills that would otherwise might be hard to learn alone(especially because you don't want to work in a big company, and would not benefit from the experience of others in the company). and also, it gives you a chance to network, which is one of the most important things.....

2 1/2 years is not that bad, and i guess that by the time you decide and start the admission process, it would already be three!

if you want to know some more about the programs focusing on entrepreneurship, just search this forum - there where lots of posts regarding this issue in the past.
