Most valuable MBA for Entrepreneurship

Dear reader,

I noticed there has been already some discussion on the forum wrt MBA’s with an intense focus on Entrepreneurship.

Though, it’s not clear what the value is of some schools compared to the other.

Background: I’m trained as an MD and Biomedical Engineer, working in life science VC.

To accelerate my business skills (and more specifically the Entrepreneurial ones) i’m looking for a TOP B-school that can support this.

One downside in my freedom to pursue the MBA is time, so I’m looking for 2y programs and ideally with limited travel.

What about IE, Imperial, Warwick vs HEC?

Is there a straight answer of to what B-school is best in terms of Start-up creation and educational excellence? What schools are even better than the aforementioned ones?

Any answer would be very helpful,

Many thanks for considering,

On a global level, it's Babson. This is far and away the best school.

In Europe Cambridge, EMLyon, HHL, IE and LBS are the go-to schools for entrepreneurship. This looks useful: https://find-mba.com/lists/top-business-school-by-speciality/top-business-schools-for-entrepreneurs

Unfortunately, there is not a straight answer. Typically you should study where you want to work and with whom you want to network. I find that this is even true for those who want to start their own businesses, since, and here's the thing, startups are so intimately tied to capital availability. For instance, I've known many entrepreneurial-minded folk to study at LBS, since that puts them a quick ride away from meeting with some of the world's top VC firms. Likewise, NYU / NYC Stanford / Silicon Valley, etc.

In terms of infrastructure, most of the top schools have a lot of great resources around entrepreneurship, including incubators, office space, business development resources, networking events, etc.
