The UK has substantially lower GDP growth than Singapore and an unemployment rate that is almost twice as high (even higher in London and the West Midlands, where many Asian students look for work). The HPI visa also comes with high fees, which many employers expect you to cover. If you were committed to this, you'd either focus on Maersk or on particular job roles where you could build a portfolio (by which I mean a literal portfolio, like an artist has, with work samples to show what you can do) and hit the ground running, and then and base yourself in one or two secondary cities with low unemployment.
