Take a look at http://www.find-mba.com/board/27082 and apply to some of the Tier 4 schools. Despite your greater work experience, your mediocre GMAT and undergraduate scores do limit you. I think there's no point your applying to Cranfield. Mays also selects very few candidates.

I would still encourage you to apply in Cranfield. They have wide range of parameters for selecting candidate not just based on GPA and GMAT scores. It appears you have good working experience. You have option to sit in Cranfield test in lieu of GMAT if you are able to travel there.

There is also assessment service on their website to review your CV and expect reply within 24 hrs.

Welcome to the forum. Your profile (Indian with a background in IT) is a very competitive one, and you'll need to find ways to distinguish yourself from the competition. I'm not sure how far your music interests will get you - although it may show that you're a well-rounded candidate.

Of your shortlisted schools, I'd say that you may have a chance at Sauder, and you should consider that your reach school. You'll have less of a chance at Mays (which is very selective because of its low fees,) and Cranfield (which takes many Indian IT professionals with higher GMAT scores than you.)

Along those lines: have you considered retaking the GMAT? If you could bump your score by 40+ points that would help you a lot. Otherwise, check out some second tier schools like the following:

Cass (UK)
Babson - Olin (US)
SMU - Cox (US)
Durham (UK)

I could probably recommend some others if you were more specific about where you want to end up and your career goals.

Agreed with Ezra. A little clarification, semiconductor background is a microelectronics stream and has nothing to do with IT. I can tell from my experience that if you are well rounded candidate, you have better chance in Cranfield.

I have same profile as you and average GPA. Got place in Cranfield. I took Cranfield test instead of GMAT.

Thanks for the clarification. You're right, not IT, but OP is still up against a lot of competition.

I also take a cautious view. Maybe it will be different at Cranfield, but many admissions managers will expect this person to be a functional specialist with an engineering mindset: that's the classic template for an Indian applicants, and the in-tray is brimming over with such people. I'm all in favour of stretch schools, but I think the OP should also look a little lower on the ladder.
