Kingston is a real university, but that's not an MBA. Personally I would choose it over an MBA from a small, new private college with no reputation like Kensington or Rayat. Why take a specialised MBA at all? The world's top MBA programmes do not have specialisations. You can take courses in marketing, logistics and other areas...

I share Duncan's view that good MBAs focus on developing their students as capable all-round managers; as such, they do not confine themselves to a specific industry sector, such as retail. Indeed, it could be argued that the best way to get promoted beyond an operational level in any industry, retail included, is to do an MBA and thereby to gain general business skills. After all, the CEO of, say, a supermarket chain is not primarily concerned with how the stores are managed.

I just looked on LinkedIn to see which schools are the alma matas of the most MBAs in retail. The scores are:
