Hello All,
I need some advice to choose my postgraduate education.
My profile:
- Male, Telecommunication Engineer, Indonesian, 32 years old
- 8+ years of experience on Telecommunication area, currently working on biggest Telco Operator in my country (one of the biggest in the Region), mainly doing Network Performance/Service Quality/Traffic Management and Analysis.
- Entering entry level management position on my current company.
- Some formal/informal leadership experiences since High School.
- No international working experience, only some collaborative projects with foreign Vendor engineer provided.
What I?m expect from my postgraduate:
- Solid practical knowledge on Business Operation, Strategy and Innovation in Telco industry
- Strong Europe & Asia Telco industry networks
My carrier goals still around this sector of industry, short-mid term goals: reaching higher management level on my current company. Long term goal would be being an executive on Regional or World Class level company in Telco industry or starting my own Telco/IT-related Company.
Fortunately, my company will give me sponsorship if I?m able to enroll any US/UK/Australia/Singapore top schools. My preference is UK.
I didn?t take any GMAT test yet, planned to do it on 3-4 months from now (after adequate preparation). My plan is apply for 2014 intake.
My Questions:
1. Does Full Time MBA fit for me? Or I need to take MSc instead? I?m also interested to UCL MSc Telecommunication with Business program.
2. After some research, I think Imperial MBA is a realistic target to me. Any suggestion for my needs and goals? Since I will be sponsored, Fees and Employment after program not counted into consideration.
3. Is it worth to put more hard work on GMAT to reach such as Cambridge or even LBS? Does my current profile will knock their door after all?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Regards,
Muhammad
