Hi!
I'm South American (think Uruguay/Chile/Brazil/Argentina) with an LLB from my country and currently pursuing an MSc in Finance from my country, too.
Work:
I have 2 years of experience as junior associate in a Top National Law Firm and want to break in US IB by doing an MBA. I also worked nine months in two different counties in law related jobs while doing undergrad and MSc International Exchanges and six months in an internship at a local court. Now I'll spend a year working on consulting in my country in a middle size and not well known firm while I send my MBA applications and wait for the results.
Extracurriculars:
I had been in two student associations during the LLB, did an exchange program in an important university (think Australia, NZ, Netherlands, Singapore), been a teacher assistant in one undergrad subject and took an additional law diploma during undergrad in a topic related to Technology Law.
I also did another exchange program during the MSc in a great university (think France, Denmark)
My questions:
1) Are my non-US LLB and MSc GPAs reportable? I think they are equivalent to 3.5 and 3.3 (USA System -not 100% sure-) / 2:1 (UK System)
2) What are my chances for MBA Programmes at Harvard-Stanford-Pennsylvania-Nortwestern-Chicago-Columbia-Cornell-Duke with this background? Haven’t taken GMAT yet, but which should be at least my minimun score to be a good and realistic candidate for these schools?
3) What other options should I consider if my profile isn't enough for MBA mentioned?
4) What are my chances of obtaining a scholarship?
Thanks a lot!
