What would be better - General MBA or Specialization MBA

Hello Everyone,

I've 5.5+ Years of Experience in Procurement and Manufacturing Industry both related to electrical & power sectors in India. I've completed my B.Tech and M.Tech in Electrical & Electronics stream. Now, I'm planning to pursue an MBA. I have offers from Strathclyde University - UK (General MBA) , New Castle - UK (General MBA & 50% scholarship) and RWTH Aachen University - Germany (Specialization in Digital Innovation & Industrialization).
What will be the best choice - a general MBA or specialization and which University is best for it from the above options?
What ROI can I expect after the degree completion?
What are the job opportunities for international students?

Specialisations don't matter. I assume you won't learn German before the course starts. Strathclyde is the better school. Are you avoiding the gmat?

I'm bit confused in the selection of colleges. I've shared the list of colleges which I've shortlisted else I have offers from Aston, Birmingham, Brunel, Loughborough also. I'll be completing A2 by the time the RWTH course starts. Also, I want to join an MBA in Sept 22 intake for which not much time is left. Hence, chose not to give GMAT. Pls guide on this.

Strathclyde it is then, unless Birmingham has more MBAs in your target firms. A2 German won't help much with finding work, and you won't improve enough during an MBA.

Is learning German alone the criterion to select Strathclyde MBA over RWTH MBA? What about job prospects post MBA for Indian Students from Strathclyde or RWTH in that country? Please help me select the better choice between these two with respect to Job prospects post MBA?

No, it's not just learning German but also acculturation. Strathclyde is a much stronger business school, with one of Europe's oldest MBAs and at the heart of the university as a whole. The RWTH International Academy is new are quite peripheral to the parent university. It is a cash cow addressing students returning to their own countries.

That means given my profile, I should choose Strathclyde MBA (I'm still waiting for their scholarship result though), and not RWTH MBA with respect to Job prospects post MBA in that country, right?

Yes, Strathclyde. 

When I describe the International Academy as a cash cow, I mean that it offers uses its brand equity and leading market position in the pre-experience degrees and research to maintain highly profitable degrees in the International Academy which offer very poor price performance but are maintainable in the long-term.
