Hi,
I am looking for suggestions as to which schools should I apply. My profile is as follows:
Nationality: Puerto Rico
Age: 36
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
GMAT: 650 (Q44/V37)
GPA: 3.00
Work Experience: 9 years in public accounting. Senior Associate at small local firm mainly managing tax, audit and business valuation engagements.
Other: CFA Charterholder; other than participating in various charity organizations (mainly for animal protection), there is not much going in extracurricular activity. Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
My target is to land an investment/asset management job and continue a career in said field (hence the pursuit of CFA charter). I am open to any type of program (Full/Part-Time, Executive, Distance) as long as it is a good fit for what I'm trying to achieve. I am looking for schools in the USA (I am a US citizen), Canada (wife is Canadian citizen) or Europe.
I believe that based on my profile, I should be looking at these schools:
SDA Bocconi
Illinois-Urbana Champaign
Indiana-Kelley
St. Gallen
Toronto-Rotman
Cass
Warwick
Am I correct in my assessment? Do I have a chance of getting accepted at some higher ranked schools (Chicago-Booth, Texas-McCombs, Cambridge, Oxford, IMD, Columbia) if I improve my GMAT? Are there any other schools I am missing which have good placements in investment/asset management that I should consider?
Sorry for the long post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
