work in consulting - is an MBA worth it?

I'm an analyst at a consulting firm. My company has an education plan that allows me to take up to two years off from work to get an MBA. They'll pay for some of the degree, although I wouldn't get the money until I finish the program and return to the firm...

Question is, is it worth it? In some ways, I really want to take 1 or 2 years off and broaden my toolkit, especially managerially, since I don't have much leadership/management experience yet. But then I also worry about falling behind at the firm - not many people pursue this option, I'm told, and many of those who do don't come back.

Any insight is appreciated!

It's worth it. Just look at the data. You'll double your salary by the end of the MBA, and have a career long lift in earnings and opportunities. So, you won't fall back in your career.

So, maybe many people don't come back. Is that a bad thing, if they find better options elsewhere?

Don't make too much attention to their finance offer. The big advantage is that it allows you to be a good leaver, to get better references, and to have a safety net.

MBA degree has become one of the booming areas and the driver for the success of any type of business in India..Its very important role in determining the growth and development of the individual, business users, executives, start-ups and other big organizations.

I am currently in the DACH region but am very focused on the UK schools. I would not mind going to another country in Europe if this could be a better option.
