Agreed that you should retake the GMAT. Also, the schools you're looking at are all across the board in terms of career placements - I would think about what you want to do after graduation and then choose your schools based on that (and your school choice will determine what kind of GMAT score you should be aiming for.)

Mays is a great choice if you want to stay in the oil industry but you're going to need a much higher GMAT score.

My post MBA goals are either to be in consulting or manufacturing.
Mays was choice because I can get into the energy sector, which I already belong too. Be it in an energy consultancy or an oil exploration company. But the current scenario of oil is not that encouraging.

By now through your research you would have known that Indians are over represented in the MBA application pool. Mays, MSU are thus highly competitive for Indians to get into. They have a smaller class size, cheaper tuition rates and thus attracts lot of applicants with 700+ GMAT score eyeing full scholarship.

You may have a chance at UC Irvine, if other aspects of your application are strong. I had an admit from UC Irvine with a 630 GMAT back in 2012/13.

If you are hell bent on getting into Mays/ MSU get a 700+ GMAT, else look at other schools as per GMAT Tier - strong schools posted by Duncan.

I was scoring consistently well in my mocks. 660, 710 - GMAT prep
680 - Manhattan
I focussed on verbal more.
Anyway, my goal is to be in the supply chain management role in O&G or manufacturing sector. I have shortlisted two more schools. Kelley and Smeal. I know Kelley would be a stretch. But is Smeal in my range ?

Unfortunately that's the truth. 700+ seems a distant dream.

Unfortunately, as per my experience and observation it is unlikely that you'll even be invited for Interview by Mays/ Mich State / Penn State (Smeal).

Check out the GMAT Strong Tiers schools mentioned by Duncan to see what other schools you can apply.
Assuming that you want to do your MBA from US starting Fall 2016, apply to these schools.
- Uni of Pittsburg (Katz): They have good relations with manufacturing companies (Crane / Cummins etc.) I know students from 2015 batch went onto companies like eBay, PwC, Nationwide Insurance in IT advisory roles.
- Uni of Tennessee at Knoxville: Good regional school known for Supply Chain Management
- Rice University: Known for O&G connections (Your GMAT might be low for them)
- UC Irvine: Speaking from experience (and as mentioned earlier) You may have a chance, although you can kiss any hopes of scholarship goodbye.
