MBA that does not require GMAT test

Hi Duncan!

First of all, would like to thank you for all the information here found. It has been really helpfull.

Would like to ask if you know any B-school that doens't require GMAT test or GRE as entry requirements and are still considered as really good schools? I am currently planning to start an MBA and although i understand the importancy of taking a GMAT test, i just can't agree that it is the best way to evaluate candidates. Speaking from my self, i 've come from business background with 8 years of experience and beeing away from, specially, maths many years, would have a lot to go through. Please don't get me wrong, as i am not looking for the easiest way out, and if it is the only option to get it done, i'll do it. Would just need to adjust and it may taker longer than i want it to be, as i cannot afford to leave my current job only to prepare to GMAT etc...

Just adding that my local preference would be Europe and i am not considering an specific country to do the MBA as i don't have a fixed idea torwards staying in the same country after the MBA, change country due to job opportunity or either go back to my country, depending on the opportunity. My goal with an MBA is first to level up my way of thinking, work and have an enriching experience. What comes after will come after.

I never heard of anyone leaving their job to take the GMAT. I think you misunderstood what is involved. You are mistaken about the suitability of the GMAT as a selection tool.

The GMAT is the very best predictor of success in the MBA. It is much more strongly correlated with performance in the MBA than any other measurements .

There are resources online like Khan Academy where you can study math (and GMAT) for free and online, without quitting your job (and start from any level)

I think Durham does not require GMAT. And probably some more universities don't
But your choices will be very limited, and definitely not as good, without GMAT

Manchester and Cranfield also have their own selection tests as alternatives. The GRE, of course, is the real alternative to the GMAT.
