Affordable London MBAs

Hi all,

I'm looking to develop my career into more senior level and refresh my business knowledge with an MBA. I have 2:1 Business and Management Msc and 12 years career experience across different companies in Commercial areas.

I will have to self fund so have been looking at more affordable options. So far I am interested in and have visited a few open days for:
- Uni of East London
- London Met
- Uni of Roehampton

Slightly more expensive:
- Uni of Essex
- Brunel

Any opinions/ previous experience/ guidance on the above welcome. Or other suggestions...

Why are you limited to self funding? Most people in the UK are using loans or the senior apprenticeship funding.

What are your goals? Why take an MBA rather than an MSc in a specific business function?

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am being made redundant and therefore want to use this opportunity to return to study. I therefore cannot access the senior apprenticeship scheme. I will access the student loan but believe this is a max of £12.5k and dont want to get into large amounts of debt.

I want to do the MBA to get to more senior roles such as Head of Dpt and in the long term potentially Director roles. But also in this point of my career and personal circumstances i want to refresh my knowledge, refocus and rejuvenate myself! I'm not completed closed of to an Msc but thought MBA suited me better whilst browsing.

It might be effective to register a company simply to benefit from the apprenticeship.

Are there particular industries or business functions that interest you? It sounds like career coaching would be wise.
