Hi all,
I have offers from the following universities:

General Management at Imperial,University of Edinburgh,UCL,Manchester and MBM at Strathclyde.

All I need is an intensive program at affordable price which will cater me a good job after course completion.For now, I have 1 yr of work experience in IT industry. Please give your views.

I did and found that Strathclyde MBM has a strong course structure, but I have Imperial in competition with that. Thinking about the fees and expense in living in london I have striked out Imperial from the list! The below ft ranking has placed strathclyde in a better position,

But the problem is in other rankings except with that of ft, Manchester and Edinburgh has better weightage.Can you please help me with this Duncan.

What help would you like? Some schools are better for MBA and others are better for MSc. That is just how it is. But these are all strong schools. You cannot make a very made choice with any.

Why not work for another two years?

With three years of work experience, your options will be much better, and your return on investment for any money you put into your education will be much improved. At that point you'd be starting to be competitive for an MBA at Warwick, Strathclyde, Aston, etc.

Then pick the MSc with the best salary: this will be the programme whose graduates are most valued by employers. You can see that on the FT ranking.

I would suggest Imperial over other universities, as it has a very strong brand value and is located in London.

Indeed, but OP said he rejected schools in London due to cost of living.

And also if you're just using post-grad salary as an indicator, the MSc programs at Edinburgh, Warwick and Strathclyde are still fairly competitive with the ones at Imperial and LSE.

I am considering long term value addition, mainly for international students as getting a job in the UK is not that easy, whereas Imperial has a better brand value internationally, thus enhancing the chance of getting employed outside the UK as well.

Oh I completely agree. And if OP could find it in his budget to go to school in London, I would not hesitate to recommend the program. The long-term earnings will make it a good investment.
