I applied to top schools in the US and UK and have offers from Cambridge Judge and Kellogg.
I have worked with e-commerce throughout my career and want to pursue an MBA focused on Entrepreneurship to establish my own company in the B2B e-commerce sphere.
Which one of the two schools would be favourable considering my career targets?
Obvious differences I can note -
1. Location - US vs UK - The US is more entrepreneurial friendly and it would be easier to obtain funding/VC support potentially. However, the US visa situation is pretty dire at the moment for foreigners.
2. Brand - Cambridge vs Kellogg - both brand names are strong and recognised fairly well throughout. Cambridge is obviously better known due to its long history, but Kellogg is one of the M7.
3. Entrepreneurial focus - Cambridge is in the Silicon Fen and has amazing university research and startups that make it very attractive. However, Kellogg also has dedicated accelerators for students and there are tons of networking opportunities in Chicago.
4. Duration/Cost - Cambridge is a one year program and allows me to quickly leave B school to work on my potential idea. it is almost half the money has I would spend at Kellogg.
5. Alumni - Kellogg wins at this hand down. Cambridge has an extensive alumni network, but not sure about the business school in this regard.
Any feedback is welcome and appreciated!
